Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 26, 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information Scove collects when you join our waitlist, how we use it, and the choices you have. We have written it to be readable, not just legally defensible. If you have questions that are not answered here, email us at hello@getscove.com.
Information we collect
When you submit the waitlist form, we collect your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your name. We do not collect any other personal information at this stage. We do not ask for a phone number, company, payment details, or anything else.
We also collect standard server log data when you visit the site — your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view. This is collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure and is used only for security and abuse prevention.
How we use your information
We use your email address for one purpose: to manage your position on the waitlist and to contact you about Scove. Specifically, we will send you a confirmation email when you join, and a notification email when Scove is ready for early access. We will not send you marketing emails, newsletters, or anything unrelated to your waitlist signup without your separate consent.
We use server log data — including IP addresses — solely to detect and prevent abuse, such as automated spam submissions.
Data sharing and third parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We work with a small number of third-party service providers to operate the waitlist — for email delivery and cloud infrastructure. These providers process your data only to the extent necessary to perform their services, and they are contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose.
Data retention
We retain your email address for as long as you remain on the waitlist, or until six months after Scove's public launch — whichever comes first. After that, we delete it. If you ask us to remove you before then, we will do so within 7 days.
Your rights and choices
You can ask to be removed from the waitlist at any time by emailing hello@getscove.com. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request a correction if it is inaccurate, or object to how we process it. To make any of these requests, contact us at the same address. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have not handled your data in accordance with applicable law.
Security
We take reasonable precautions to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. If we make material changes to how we collect or use your information, we will email you before those changes take effect. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
